Seton Students to Assist With Potato Harvest for Area Food Banks
(Binghamton, NY) Seton Catholic Central students will be assisting with a potato harvest on Saturday, September 24 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. The harvest will take place in a field specifically planted to aid local food banks. The potato harvest will benefit CHOW and the Food Bank of the Southern Tier. The field is located at 1300 Union Center Maine Highway (Route 26) in the Town Union across from the Ann G. McGuiness Elementary School.
“Hands-on events like the potato harvest provide students with a unique sense of service,” said Richard Bucci, President, and Catholic Schools of Broome County. “They will see firsthand the results of their efforts and realize they are truly making a difference in the lives of others.”
