We are Our Lady of Sorrows-Seton Middle Campus, a Pre-K to 8th grade Roman Catholic school. Our community of parents, faculty, administrators, religious sisters and clergy are dedicated to providing a quality Catholic education to our children.

We serve the parishes of Broome County and neighboring parishes in the Diocese of Scranton and Rochester. As an educational ministry of the Catholic Schools of Broome County, we welcome others who embrace our philosophy of education. Students are encouraged to develop and embrace the qualities of spirituality, self-discipline, strong character and social responsibility. Demonstration of these qualities nourishes the students’ families and their parish community.

We do this by recognizing each student as a unique individual. Our faculty and staff work diligently to incorporate programs accommodating the instructional needs of each student while bonding their spiritual and academic lives, thus forming community-conscious, responsible, God-centered individuals.

St. James Middle School is a spiritual and academic community based on the beliefs, practices, and traditions of the Roman Catholic faith. As an educational ministry of the Catholic Parishes of Broome County, we welcome all families who share our values and who seek a faith-based, scholarly education for Grades 4 through 8.

Leading by example, we celebrate and respect the inherent value of all people and welcome families of other religious traditions. With a dedicated faculty, we are committed to providing a nurturing environment that reflects God’s providence.

We encourage and expect parental involvement as we inspire, challenge, and guide our students through the inter-diocesan curriculum, which is designed to exceed the academic standards set forth by New York State. Through Christian faith, academic excellence, family, and discipline, we strive to insure that every student becomes a life-long learner, a compassionate individual, and a moral citizen of our society. St. James is the follow-on school for St. Thomas students.

St. John the Evangelist School provides academic excellence in a Christ—centered atmosphere that emphasizes Christian love, respect, and discipline. While embracing all individuals, we challenge them academically and spiritually to reach their full potential.

Established in 1949, our school provides Early Childhood through 8th Grade Catholic instruction as an educational ministry of Broome County Catholic parishes. We serve the families of these parishes along with others who embrace our educational philosophy. The school’s dedicated leadership, which includes religious Sisters, lay teachers and staff, honors and upholds the high standards established by the Congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Through education and the celebration of faith, each child will leave our doors with the intellectual and moral foundation on which to build his or her future.

St. Thomas Aquinas School is an Early Childhood through Third Grade Catholic School. As an educational ministry of the Catholic Parishes of Broome County, we serve families from all socioeconomic, cultural and religious backgrounds living in the surrounding communities. Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing atmosphere, an individually challenging curriculum, and traditional core Catholic values.

Founded in 1953 by the Franciscan Sisters and supported by our local Catholic Parishes, St. Thomas Aquinas School is committed to educating the whole child with compassion and integrity. Before and after school programs enable working parents to place their children within the school community for consistent care and instruction. Academic excellence, spiritual growth and personal values are the goals we set for each child who attends this Christ-centered institution.

After 3rd grade, St. Thomas students continue their education at St. James School.

The Catholic-based learning environment at Seton Catholic Central High School is inspired by our ever-present teacher, Jesus Christ. Our students are encouraged to develop a love of learning, which will serve them throughout their lives. Our mission is to meet each student’s needs – spiritual, academic and emotional – through a fiscally responsible program that recognizes the importance of stewardship in all its forms.

Seton Catholic Central High School exists to provide a Christ-centered school community in which students have the opportunity to maximize their God-given abilities through a challenging and balanced curriculum. We help students to develop sound judgments based on moral principles and to celebrate the fundamental unity of the family. We empower students to respect themselves and others in the image of Jesus Christ.

The challenge of a Catholic school is great. That challenge is redemptive teaching. Educators are inspirational guides on life’s journey and instructors in academic excellence. Teachers must not only instruct students, but also endeavor to inspire them.
