How do I register my child in Catholic School?
Registration materials are available at each school. We encourage you to make an appointment with the school principal to begin the registration process.

Can my child attend your schools if they are not Catholic?
The Catholic Schools of Broome County admit students of any religion, race, color, or sex.

What is considered affiliated?
Affiliated means being a registered member of a Catholic parish.

Do you follow NYS Curriculum?
Our schools follow NYS and Diocesan curriculum guidelines.

Are your teachers certified?
Our teachers are certified by the New York State Education Department. The Catholic Schools of Broome County employ 83 teachers with 53 teachers holding a Masters Degree and 3 holding a Doctorate Degree.

Will my child be bussed to school?
Transportation is provided through your child's public school district. Forms are available through the Catholic School's until April 1st. After that date, you must contact the district.

Do you offer AP and honors classes?
Seton Catholic Central High School offers 11 AP classes and 9 honor class programs.

Are financial aid and scholarships available?
Yes, families in our system received over $200,000.00 in financial aid for the 2005-2006 school year. To apply for aid obtain a PSAS application at any of our schools and submit the application by April 1, 2006.

What is the tuition rate?

Do I have to pay all at once?
There are several payment plans available. Call the Catholic Schools Office at 607-723-1547 to find the method that best works for you.

Do the students have to wear a uniform?
Each school has a dress code describing what students may or may not wear. Students are not required to wear a uniform.

Do you have a sports program?
The Catholic Schools of Broome County are members of the Southern Tier Athletic Conference. We field 11 modified teams and 22 JV and Varsity teams. Over 70% of our student body participates in our sports program. We have won divisional, sectional and state titles.

Do you offer extra curricular activities?
Our schools have a variety of before and after school programs. You can contact a specific school to learn what programs they offer.

Do you have computers?
All of our schools have computers labs, computers in the classroom and internet access.
